A RESOLUTION WITHOUT A PLAN IS JUST A WISH

So you have enjoyed the festive season, perhaps a little too much and decided to do something about your physical condition.

You have made that "NEW YEAR RESOLUTION" to lose those extra kilos that you have stacked on.

OK, YOU MADE THE RESOLUTION, NOW WHAT??

Do you have a plan on how to put that resolution into practice? Remember FAIL TO PLAN - PLAN TO FAIL

Let's see if we can give you a a bit of a head start to help you along.

Set S.M.A.R.T. goals

Your goals need to be

1. SPECIFIC - One that can be easily identifiable. Statements like "I want to tone up" are wishy washy and ambiguous. Don't be afraid to say exactly what you want.

2. MEASURABLE - You must be able to ascertain what progress you have made from your starting point.

3. ACHIEVABLE - Something that will challenge you, but is still within your capabilities. Perhaps have a chat with your trainer and work out an agreed target.

4. REALISTIC - An outcome that is reasonable to expect, and relevant to your current situation.

5. TIME BASED - Set an end point for your achievement. It will create a sense of responsibility for you.
